From the moment your project is received it will be logged on to our BDL software and allocated an E number. The six strong technical sales team consist of an enthusiastic blend of technical estimators and some industry seasoned professional headed up by the commercial sales manager. All of the team are trained on a broad spectrum of systems and use state of the art estimating and calculation tools to ensure your quotation is not only compliant with specifications but legislatively correct.
Front end design, cost planning and value engineering along with a solid understanding of building interfaces ensure that every tender return you receive is concisely compiled. At every stage of the estimating process you will be kept up to date via automated e mails, our state of the art, bespoke BDL will tell us when we need to chase you and what was discussed last time regardless who made the call.
Mobilisation is one of the key processes to ensure the smooth running of a project. Fleetwood place great emphasis on the transfer of information between departments and have invested many long hours ensuring the process is right.
At handover stage all of the information stored under your E number will be transferred to contracts. A contracts manager will be appointed and will take ownership of the scheme.
This will trigger a master programme issuing all critical dates to all departments. At this stage you will also be informed of all the key contacts of your job.
Any pre contract ideals are worthless without the skill set to develop the concept. Our ten strong design team can effectively manage your design process from concept to completion.
All of the department uses modern draughting techniques including 3D modelling and is fully conversant with the latest drawing exchange portals. Our design department carries its own £10m professional indemnity insurance and has experience in a wealth of façade treatments including traditional glazed products along with the more specialist items such as bonded stone rain-screen.
Once a design is complete the realisation falls into the hands of production. As with the transfer of pre construction information, design packs are transferred through JTS to production. These packs contain all of the crucial dimensions to enable production to go into manufacture. Production at Fleetwood is split over four separate facilities, three in Slough and one in Swindon.
Our facilities cover just over 50,000 square foot and generate the equivalent of 120,000 man hours every year and include a pressed metal work facility and powder coating along with the compliment of CNC machines and CAD linked cutting centres totalling over £3 million of modern fabricating equipment.
Our contracts team are all 5 day SMSTS qualified and are supported by our contracts director who has over ten years contract management experience. The contracts team is a unique, ten strong blend of project managers looking after individual projects and contracts managers who will run a number of projects.
Our cradle to grave approach ensures the team has ultimate responsibility during all aspects of pre construction. Fleetwood are pioneers in construction industry software development and the construction team is no different. All of the external staff have access to our unique DMS software that enables on line reporting, downloadable documentation and uploadable QA documentation.
